About Shelley
Shelley has always had a passion for helping people achieve their goals and potential as owner of Learning Bound Inc. She has offered tutoring and supplemental education programs for over a decade, and in keeping with her education role, offers Lamaze Childbirth education and Birth Doula services. When Shelley became pregnant with her son, she read every book and article she could about childbirth and parenting. It wasn’t until she and her husband attended Lamaze Childbirth Education classes that she realized how much more there was to learn, and as a result felt confident and prepared for childbirth. After her second empowering birth of her daughter, Shelley decided to become a Lamaze Childbirth educator, to help other families prepare for the biggest event in their lives, with information, and techniques to inspire confidence to seek a healthy, safe and memorable birth experience. On this journey to becoming Lamaze Certified, Shelley realized she could further support women and their families through pregnancy, labour, and early parenting by also being a birth doula. Shelley also attends births to help new parents get the most out of this wonderful life changing event.
Lamaze® Childbirth (Prenatal) Classes
Book early since spaces are limited and fill up about a month before they begin. It’s a good idea to start classes around the 30th week of pregnancy.

ABOUT THE CLASSES:
- Designed to meet the needs of expectant parents tin a fun interactive group setting
- Classes are small to ensure everyone has a chance to ask questions, address concerns, and connect with other couples in the class
- The goal is to provide expectant parents with the ability to make informed decisions, build confidence and skills to help ease the journey to parenthood
- Class is taught using a variety of instructional methods including visual aids, discussion, lecture, and hands on practice
- Colour handbook with reference to material taught included
- Optional reunion is organized
Private In-Home Classes:
Cost: $250 +HST 9 hours (scheduled on individual basis call or email to discuss or schedule)
- Class is tailored to your specific needs
- Class is planned around your schedule
- Taught in your own home
- Privacy allows for open dialogue about personal issues
- Can have your other support people present (partner, mother, doula)
- Perfect for people with schedules that make attending classes difficult, or people on bed rest
- Handouts with reference to material taught included
- Provided the complete attention of the instructor without time spent on questions and concerns of others
